RapiPREP is a universal sample preparation system which extracts the pathogen and/or PCR-ready pathogen nucleic acids from multiple pathogens, including bacteria and viruses, from multiple sample types.
RapiPREP combines a rapid and highly efficient magnetic bead-based capture, washing and lysis of captured bacteria or virus releasing PCR ready nucleic acids.
RapiPREP is an ideal low cost, high throughput processing and concentration method for use with samples such as urine, swabs, blood, plasma, faeces and sputum. Bacteria so far tested include, Mycobacteria (RapiPREP-TB), Chlamydia, Neisseria, Staphylococci (including MRSA). Viruses so far tested include Adenovirus and RSV.
